How do I use the Bitpen mini correctly?
Choose your cold wallet (e.g., Seedburger, Seedwich, or Seedslice).
Slowly engrave each word of the seed phrase.
After engraving, check that all letters are clearly legible.
Done – your backup is now extremely resilient.
Do I need to take any special protective measures?
Normally you don't need to pay much attention, but if you are unsure, wear gloves and safety glasses when engraving and work on a stable surface.
Make sure the plate is firmly in place to obtain clean engravings, and hold the pen similarly to a felt-tip pen when writing: pressure is not required when engraving.
Which metals can I engrave?
The Bitpen is suitable for stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, copper, and other soft to medium-hard metals. Harder metals could, in extreme cases, damage the Bitpen mini and its replaceable tip.
For Bitcoin backups, we recommend our cold wallets, made of soft stainless steel or titanium grade 1.
How long does shipping take?
We ship within 1-3 working days from Germany if everything you ordered is in stock.
Within the EU, shipping usually takes 2-5 days; internationally, it takes slightly longer depending on the country.
